How to Run Payroll in FreePayroll
Running payroll in FreePayroll is straightforward. Follow these steps to process your payroll efficiently:
Step 1: Start Your Pay Run
- Navigate to the main page of FreePayroll.
- Locate the current pay runs section.
- Click on the Run Payroll button for the pay run you wish to process.
Step 2: Process Salaried Employees
- The first step in the payroll process is for salaried employees.
- If you do not have salaried employees, click Next on the top right of your screen to proceed to the next step.
- Click on any employee's name to view a detailed payment breakdown.
- A detailed payment window will slide in from the left, showing key payments and deductions.
- To preview a payslip, click on the three dots next to an employee's name and select the preview option.
Step 3: Input Hours for Hourly Employees
- This step is necessary if you have hourly employees.
- Enter the hours worked for each hourly employee.
- If there are no hourly employees, you can skip this step by clicking Next.
Step 4: Review and Adjust Entries for Hourly Employees
- Review the information entered in the previous step.
- Make any necessary adjustments to the hours before finalizing.
- Click on any employee's name to view a detailed payment breakdown.
- A detailed payment window will slide in from the left, showing key payments and deductions.
- To preview a payslip, click on the three dots next to an employee's name and select the preview option.
- Click Next to move to the review step.
Step 5: Review Payroll
- This is the final step where you can review all entries before confirmation.
Finalising Payroll
- Once you have reviewed all the information and it is correct, click on the Submit button to finalise payroll.
- You will receive a confirmation that the payroll has been processed successfully.
Important Considerations
- You can leave the "run payroll" process, by clicking on the Home Icon at any time. Everything is saved automatically.
- You can click the "run payroll" button as many times as you want.
