# How to Download a Draft Payslip Before Completing a Pay Run

## Overview
Download a draft payslip to review an employee’s pay details before you complete the pay run.
A draft payslip is for checking purposes only. You can continue processing payroll after viewing it.
## Prerequisites
Before you begin:
* The pay schedule must have an active pay run.
* The employee must be included in the pay run.
## Step-by-step Instructions
1. From the Home page, select **Run Payroll**.

2. Find the active payroll you want to process.
3. Select the relevant pay schedule.

4. On the **Build Payroll** screen, find the employee whose draft payslip you want to review.
5. Select **View Details**.

6. Select the three-dot menu.
7. Select **View Draft Payslip**.

8. Review or download the draft payslip.
9. Return to the pay run when you are ready to continue processing payroll.

## Tips
* Review the employee’s earnings and deductions before completing the pay run.
* If you make changes to the employee’s pay, open the draft payslip again to check the updated information.
## Common Issues
**I cannot see the View Draft Payslip option**
Confirm that you are viewing an active pay run and that the employee is included in it.
**The payslip information is incorrect**
Return to the **Build Payroll** screen, update the employee’s pay details, and review the draft payslip again.
