How to create a Salary?
Creating a Salary
- From the Home page, open the left-hand menu and click Company, then select Salaries.

- You will now see a table listing all existing salary types, along with their Name, Rate Type, and Payment Method.
Click Add Salary.A modal will appear requesting the configuration details of the new salary.

- Fill in the Salary Name
Enter a Name that clearly identifies this salary type.
For example: “Standard Monthly Salary”, “Hourly Worker Rate”, or “Commission Rate”.

- Choose the Rate Type
You will now choose how this salary amount will be calculated.

The available Rate Types are:
1. Multiplier Rate
Used when the salary is defined as a multiplier of another element. (Only accept Fixed value for all employees)
For example:
- 1.0 × Base Rate
- 1.5 × Base Rate for Overtime
This approach is useful when salary varies based on factors such as role, level, or payroll structure.

2. Hourly Rate
Used when the employee is paid based on the number of hours worked.
For example:
- £10.50 per hour
- £15 per hour
The final value depends on the expected weekly hours and payroll frequency.

3. Rate Per Unit
Used when payment is calculated per unit produced or completed.
Common for performance or production-based roles.
For example:
- £0.50 per unit produced
- £20 per delivery

- Choose the Configuration Method
After selecting the Rate Type, choose how the value will be applied.
You will see the following configuration options:
A. Custom for Each Employee
Use this when each employee will have their own individual amount.
Ideal for cases where:
- employees have different hourly rates
- multipliers vary by worker or position
- performance metrics differ between individuals
B. Fixed Value for All Employees
Use this when the salary rate should be the same for everyone assigned to this salary type.
Ideal for:
- standardised hourly rates
- flat per-unit payments
- uniform multipliers

- Save the Salary
Once all information has been completed, click Save.
Your new salary type will now appear in the Salaries list and can be assigned to employees during their onboarding or updated later through their Employment Details.
