# Ensuring Employee's Document Security in FreePayroll

FreePayroll prioritizes the protection of sensitive information in compliance with GDPR regulations. To safeguard this data, we implement strict password protocols for accessing key documents: P45, Payslips and P60

### **Password Protocols**

* **National Insurance Number**: If an employee has a national insurance number, this number serves as their password to access their document. Please make sure to sue all capital letters when adding the National Insurance Number.
* **Date of Birth**: For employees who do not yet have a national insurance number, the password is set as their date of birth, formatted as `DDMMYYYY`.

These measures ensure that each employee's sensitive data remains secure and private, accessible only through verified personal identifiers. This approach not only complies with legal requirements but also reinforces our commitment to data security and privacy protection.
