Sometimes, you may need to make last-minute changes to an employee's details while running payroll. FreePayroll offers a straightforward method to edit employee records without having to navigate away from your payroll processing task.
When you are in the midst of running payroll and reviewing the payment breakdown for each employee, you might realize that you need to update critical information such as the employee's salary for the current tax period or their tax code.
Access Payroll Draft:
- Begin by navigating to the payroll draft where you are currently working.
Locate the Employee:
- Find the employee whose details need to be updated.
Direct Access to Edit:
- Click on the employee’s to open the payment breakdown window. By clicking on the employee's name within the breakdown window, will take you immediately to their record.
Make Necessary Changes:
- Once inside the employee’s record, you can make the required changes to their salary, tax code, or any other relevant information.
Save Changes:
- Ensure to save any modifications made to update the employee's record accordingly.
Back to Payroll Draft:
- Once you are done with the changes, just click on the browser's back arrow, to go back directly to your payroll draft.
Immediate Effect:
- Changes made to the employee's details will be reflected immediately in the payroll draft, ensuring that all information is up-to-date for accurate payroll processing.
